Well? If you would be so kind to explain a little why after you vote, I would appreciate it greatly. ;D

Those all stink, but I voted uterly slow, because it is worse than fatigue due to the fact that fatige takes a while before it occurs. Some things like subroutines are actually good, because it makes it easier to program, I mean look at windows, if sub routines are bad, then windows is the devil.

jbirks right, all those things stink, i voted doesn't clean up after quit, because that's the only one that's isn't to-be-expected in a big BASIC program, look at hic4/5 (i'd say 6,but i haven't released it, and even though i have permission from the author of hic5, i don't plan to release it because it doesn't even come close to hic4 or hic5) they are EXTREMEMLY slow (for text-only programs) and they are still very popular, and paint is quite slow and still is a VERY good program, but really, you program can only be called slow if it's slow for what it does, if it's REALLY slow, but it's faster than what you'd expect, then you did a good job on the speed

I would have to say originality. I hate everything else, but if you look at Ticalc.org, there might be a dozen chat programs, none as good as Kevtiva Chat. No one even bothers to check and see if their program has already been written by someone else

you have a VERY good point, and all the programs there are terrible (even most of the original ones) except for maybe a select few, and most of the asm programs, but you'd be surpised how much you can learn from writing a program to do the same thing as somebody else's program, it's just that most of the people at ticalc.org aren't smart enough to know not to release it

Er...
almost all of my programs have been made before... Pong, Nibbles clone, Cleaning program, a naked woman (lol), A better version of mazerace called spermy (its not as sick as it sounds, your just swimming towards an egg and its pretty darn fast with a temporary invincibility function and it tells you what percentage of your game you pressed certain buttons in the end...), put all of the fractals and geo into one program which does a lot, an actual origional puzzle game, though is rather slow on the 82, a clock and a much better version of tron.
Have they been made before? Yup Are the predecessors better than mine? Some of em Then ytf do it? To prove that I can and expand my programming skills. Then again I have yet to post any of my crappy ones...
Eh...
I'd say program fatiuge because it indicates a REALLY crappy programmer that should not be allowed to post anything, though slowness and repeated stuff is really annoying, Id rather see a bad game with good code than an ok game with bad code.

actually, i bet that NOBODY can top this...when i was first learning how to program on the 83+, i actually made a calculator program for my 83+, btw originality is probably the most important thing (aside from quality coding and whatnot) about a program, but there is an exception to this rule, when u make a program for the calc that alreadye exists on another platform, like the NES, Gameboy, ect. (this sorta applies to porting from other calcs, but not completely)

I hate it when people use way to many variables, by using a new one for each calculation. I try to re-use the same variables, once I know that that stuff in them isn't important.

That's a good idea, Justin. I use the variables T E M P as temporary variables. I reuse them again and again in loops and such, and I reserve other variables for permanent use throughout the program.

i usually have maybe 3 or 4 vars that are neccsessary for the program working, and the rest are available for use by routines, or, i'll just make store all the vars in a list, and free up all the normal vars, btw if anybody wants to reply to this post, do it in a new topic

Whoa... I feel like a n00b now... One of my subroutines uses almost all of the letter vars... But, it's my little world exploration routine, and it's extremely detailed, so mebbe I can get away with it... Btw, I'm thinking of letting out a little preview of my RPG. Alpha version, I suppose? Would anyone be interested in taking a look and telling me what a worthless programmer I am?

I start with A then B, C, ect, but I cycle through them when they arn't important. I also use list, because when you access an element, it is just like a real variable, and when your done all you have to do is delete the whole mess. e.g. delvar LTEMP

If you have no originality or creativity then what's the point of playing the game?*?*?
