Do you mean a word search puzzle, or search for a certain string of text within a program? If you mean the former, then I'm sure you could make one. If you mean the latter, then no, there's no way to do that in basic (without using asm subroutines, which defeats the purpose of doing it in basic)

no, because i just finished my program PROBIO.... redelf.net/providenceand i was wondering in the Biochemistry Vocabulary area, i posted a list and definitions of some terms.. but instead of the menu type, i want to make a word search so that the user would just input the word they want to search about on...

yes, you can do that, using the "instring(" command, you can put all the words into a string (you should put a space between words so that the search doesn't return half of one word and half of another) and then do "instring(str1,str2)" with str1 the string of words and str2 the text to search for (you might have to reverse the order of the arguements because i haven't used this command in a while) and that command will return the starting point of the text, you can use this command to make it go through the string and return all the spots that the text occurs (i'd write it for you but i don't have enough time right now)
