I know I have a lot of questions but i'm still pretty new to this. How do I lock my programs or encrypt them so that when I give people my game they can't change it.

there's a few ways to do this...first one is to lock it via winlink..but that's probably the worste way to do it, the second way is to get an asm program/app...such as calcsys, or mirage os or zdos or mebbe ptools...i'd recomend getting calcsys because it gives you a lot of other nice programming features as well...btw don't worry bout asking questions....one of the reasons i'm here is to answer the questions of ppl who are learning because i didn't have anybody to answer my questions when i was learning

I have mirage but to get your program in it you have to put the : at the beginning of the code and then when you lock it you cant take out the : which means people can unlock it in mirage

Try taking out the colon before you lock it

you can't stop ppl from viewing the code for a BASIC program...even if you stop them from using mirage to unlock it...there's still calcsys and other programs...so there's really no point except to keep idiots from trying to change the name in the credits to theirs and then say they wrote it....but ppl like that are usually to stupid to know of any ways to unlock programs, personally..i like to make my programs so they can be unlocked as easily as possible so that what i've learned can be passed on to new programmers

Ok, thanks. And as far as I know, if you take the colon out Mog42, you can't lock it because it doesn't appear in MirageOS

you don't need to use mirage os...there's plenty of other programs that allow you to lock programs
