How come I can only store about 18k of games on my Ti-83+ Silver Edition Calculator? I read somewhere that theres like 160k of memory on T1-83's? The only program I have right now is Ion to play the game. Wheres all my memory?!?

the 83+SE and the 83+ both have the same ammount of RAM...24k...the 160k you read about the 83+ having is located in the same place as the 83+SE's 1500k is....in the flash ROM...you need to archive stuff to store it there...and i'm just curious...i get a lot of questions like this...and i'd like to know why you ppl post on web boards before you read the instruction manual

I'm very certain that the TI-83+ has 32K of RAM, not 24K.

yes, it does have 32k, so does the 83 and the 83+se...but it only has 24k of RAM available ot the user (the 83 has 27k available to the user cause it doesn't need memory for the flash rom)

If you need to, it is possible to get about 16k(?) of extra flash on the 83+. Its a software not a hardware procedure. It involves you using unused base code mem(i think) and using it for archive space. If anyone cares ill post it in the (new) hacking and glitches.
