I'm thinking that I should make a game that basically is an RPG battle, where you fight other real people to take their items, exp, etc. I am having some problems, as I am deciding whether to continue it, or to just drop it. If you think this a good idea, please reply, I want to know before I drop this.

Ahh sounds like a great idea! As for the story line, a great one by Interplay called Fallout comes to mind...
BTW Dont use that dreaded RPG construction kit.... Those games are becomming bland...

Yeah, you mean the ones that are all the same but use different characters with the same game engine.
It shouldn't be to difficult to write a text RPG, but if you create maps and other stuff, your RPG will be much more popular among the TI community!

Yes, just like Fallout! It had 3 map "layers", a world that time would pass on when you traveled from city to city, the city than you were in (was divided in to quads i think), and being in a building wich was kinda the same but different(had textures the calc need not be concered with)....
btw maybe you could chg the name for ©(oo ext chars!) reasons to something like radon or Nuclear Havoc or The WasteLand or..........

*Chuckles* Notice how you hear all these ambitious things for TI-RPGs, and while I have every belief that they have been done, none of them ever get released. We end up with very bland and un-original concepts as the entire basis. As sad as this is, Alienhead has probably done the best job so far. If they could break away from their little big-name crutch, then I'd probably be worshipful instead of dogging them all the time. Now that I've said this, my game will probably be the next to suffer from this horrid curse. Aren't I so lucky? ;D Just an idea, it seems like a lot of people are interested in battling their friends, but why not program co-op play as well? And while you're at it, why not put in a party system, maybe each could control a party and work together, or against each other. One of my other thoughts for a game was a wargame, and you've made me think of a way to kind of put it on a more personal level, I suppose. Instead of just looking overhead and being the general, why not just get put in the fight? Lead a small party through the actual world, along with a second party lead by your friend, or perhaps against them. What do you guys think, aye?

A multi RPG would be hard stuff...espicially fighting real time (I really am not a fan of turn based fighting). It would be cool if there were some kind of mini story where you could get different kinds of items, and you could trade online with people, sending a program with the item (in a list maybe? A string?), with that and a code to unlock it to ensure you both traded equally...neato
Well I dont know...it would sure be a lot of effort, and as these kind of calculator games go a lot of people drop it before it's finished because of so many problems...but it's worth a shot.

Thanks, I'll continue working on it. Andrew, sorry, it is turn-based. However, the item-trading concept is pretty cool. I never thought of a co-op mode, and I'll see if I can add it. Hopefully I'll be able to release something soon.
