Then what is it? a half-formed protocol that only has one-way sending that defeats the purpose of the entire format? Or is it a simple system that only has those values and everything else is just to look good? I know you can do better than that...
I think you should expand that protocol though to use *any* data types. strings, lists, reals, complex's , GBD's (how will they be read?), everything! It'll probably go ASM on you, though

This is a link protical that leads up to the calc listening until it told to stop and this is a format for sending strings and low numbers (below1e12, converted to a string using my func described here: kevtiva.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tibasic&action=display&num=1018043742). Basicly this is TCP/DSF (Transmission Control Protical/Data Stream Format) This is half of a linking library that will be released soon.

OK, the prototype TCP/DSF (0.5a) defies all logic!
If I send before it ready, I get all the data that was supposed get BUT If I send and it was waiting it SKIPS the first char in the string! Any ideas?

I'm just thinking up ideas... but unless I can heavily test out your code, my best guess would be to send a dummy byte first (maybe one of your 'unused' or 'reserved').

I still say Fallout is a good story to use for this. (If you need some idea of the setting of Fallout then watch Jeremiah on showtime.)
