you should use tasm, it's dos based, and the window won't just pop up, you need to download a tutorial on asm programming so you can get the code for a .bat file, and you need to download ti83plusasm.inc, or if you want, i could send you all the stuff, with instructions on how to use it

Is it the same one that I sent you, or are you sending ZDS?

nope the one you sent me, zds won't really do anything unless you register it, and actually all the other tutorials out there had working methods, but they never mentioned that you had to change directory, i thought all you had to do was, c:\tasm\asm program

I sent you TASM not ZDS. It is important to have the file you are going to assemble in the same directory.

You are supposed to run it from a command prompt.
Save the .asm, or the .z80 to the same folder containing all the assembler files.
Then go start>run> and type "command" with the quotes around it. Before you do this, have the folder with all the asembly stuff as the active(on top, clicked) folder.
You Should see C:\tasm> or the name of the folder you used.
Now lets say that the file you want to assemble is Test.z80
Youl would type: asm test and then press <enter>
It will tell you if it encounters any errors. Hopefully you got the Asm.bat I wrote, it is a very easy one to use.

yes, zds is supposed to be much better, (but like i said, it really won't let you do anything unless you register it)

Forget typing 'command', just type the command into the run box.

without the quotes, he will have to cd around, or cd/ to find the directory. I didn't wan't to explain this.

i have a MUCH EASIER way to do this, and it's been tested so there won't be any errors, ok, create new text document, make it say
asm prgmname
now save it in the dirrectory as (whatever you want to call it).bat note:you'll have to change the file type to "all files" now all you have to do is run the file you just created, and it will take care of all the stuff for you
then to assemble something different, just open the .bat file and change the name of the program to be assembled
